Here for you Down Under: Blue Light Card Australia launches

We’re excited to announce to launch of Blue Light Card Australia.

Our first-ever international expansion, we’re delighted to open up membership to the Blue Light community Down Under.

Eligible members include health and aged care, fire service, law enforcement, ambulance service, coastal service, and state emergency service (SES) workers, with more to be welcomed into the exclusive, expanding Blue Light community soon.

A chance to give back

Australians have seen first-hand the constant strain placed on these services over the last few years. The impact of the pandemic, floods, bushfires and economic conditions have taken their toll, resulting in the ongoing calls for additional support and staffing, better benefits and hours, and increased wage rates.

Blue Light Card Australia will recognise those who continuously look after Australians and keep them safe by helping make their lives a little easier, more affordable and fun.

Just like here in the UK, Australian members will have access to exclusive discounts, savings, and experiences from top brands and local businesses – a welcome relief for more than one million eligible workers and their families considering the rising cost of living.

Almost 50 major brand partners include Adrenaline, Angara, Apple, Banana Republic, Beginning Boutique, Ben Sherman, Boohoo, BoohooMAN, Bugaboo, Check My Body Health, Donner Music, Elite Supps, EveryPlate, Experience Oz, Expedia, Floraly, FOREO, GAP, General Pants, ghd, Glue Store, Happy Skin Co, HelloFresh, icebreaker, Jeanswest, KitchenAid, Lee, LOOKFANTASTIC, Lovehoney, Myprotein Australia, MyRepublic, Nautica, The Oodie, P&O Cruises Australia, Proviz Sports, Princess Polly, RedBalloon, Simply Sensitivity Checks, Speedo, SurfStitch, The Body Shop, THE ICONIC, Wotif, and Wrangler.

Blue Light Card is looking forward to growing Australian partnerships, and we’re proud to give small, medium and large businesses the opportunity to thank the frontline community.

Our first ever international expansion

Our CEO Tom Dalby: “We are excited to bring Blue Light Card to Australia and provide those eligible the chance to be a part of our growing community. There’s no better feeling than making a difference to our members. It isn’t just a job to us, and the people who work with us all share our passion.

“We’ve grown our UK community immensely over the past 14 years and it’s inspiring to see how quickly brands have come on board already. From the moment we shared Blue Light Card's vision, Australian businesses were immediately keen to do their bit and be a part of a community that gives back at scale.”

Blue Light Card Australia’s general manager, Tracey Duff, is immensely proud to work for a purpose-led business.

“To know that each day I come to work, I get to help thousands of people and their families just as they have helped us so many times is the most amazing feeling. I am so grateful to be a part of a company with such an important purpose.

"Australian Blue Light community workers have been through so much in recent years; it's time we give back and show them how grateful we are for all the hard work and dedication they put into being our first call for help.

Tracey added: “We’re also working closely to expand our discount services to more partners, so if you’ve been thinking about ways to give back to the community, we’d love to hear from you.”
